Hello ! I am a researcher at Public Health England and I work on immune responses following viral infections. I enjoy getting involved in projects with positive impacts on society and which may improve people’s lives. I also love music, art and philosophy.
Latest Question:What inspired you to become a scientist
I’m a researcher at the Sanger Institute, just south of Cambridge. I’m a curious person, interested in lots of different things, but at the moment we’re trying to build new lifeforms from DNA that was made in a lab.

I live in the Vale of Glamorgan (in Wales) with my husband in a small village with the very welsh name of Ystradowen (it means Owen’s valley). I like playing tennis and I am trying to learn the piano but it is very hard.
I have a chemistry degree and now I get to paid to play with a large scale chemistry kit and make molecules that might become medicines of the future.
